Dr. Sascha Hach

Dr. Sascha Hach is a Researcher in the Research Depart­ment Inter­national Insti­tutions and teaches at the Uni­versity of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. His research interests include Euro­pean security, disar­mament and arms control, nu­clear order, France and the United Nations. Dr. Hach is Associate and coordinator of the Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA). He studied Peace Research and International Politics in Tübingen and Medford and received his doctorate from the Goethe University in Frankfurt. His professional experience includes working as a Political Advisor in the German Bundestag on defense and arms control issues and for various  NGOs on development cooperation, international security and health. He is a co-founder of the German section of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017, and served as its managing director for several years.
