“President Trump’s Foreign Policy and Its Impact on the South Caucasus”

On July 8, UGSPN held a public discussion titled: “President Trump’s Foreign Policy and Its Impact on the South Caucasus.”

The discussion addressed the main principles and priorities of President Trump’s foreign policy, as well as their significance for the political, security, and economic dynamics of the South Caucasus. Particular attention was paid to the increasing role of the United States in the region, including Washington’s engagement in the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process and the strategic importance of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).

A significant part of the discussion was dedicated to the challenges and opportunities facing Georgia, including its security environment, Euro-Atlantic aspirations, and transit potential. Participants also discussed how the growing engagement of the United States is reflected in regional security, connectivity, and the geopolitical architecture of the South Caucasus.
