On 1-2 July 2024, the UG Security, Policy, and Nationalism Research Center (UGSPN), in collaboration with the School of Social Sciences at the University of Georgia and the NATO Liaison Office organised a two-day project titled ‘Georgia’s Resilience: Theory and Simulation’. The event was tailored for third- and fourth-year undergraduate students.
The project comprised both a theoretical and a practical component. On the first day, students attended lectures on NATO-Georgia cooperation (by representatives of the NATO Liaison Office), and on democratic elections and the rule of law. They also learned about identity-related disinformation and the information resilience of the state and society. On the second day, students participated in a simulation, which provided them with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice.
