Megi Benia works at the Emerging Security Challenges and Arms Control Department, Directorate-General for Security Policy and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. At the same time, she is an invited lecturer at the University of Georgia. Megi has an educational background in international relations and international security, and she is a graduate of the master’s degree program in History of Modern Georgia. Since 2017, Megi Benia has been working on Georgia’s NATO integration and other significant directions of Georgia’s national security at various government institutions. Herewith, she is an Academy Fellow of the Young Leaders Program at the Heritage Foundation and an Alumni Fellow of the Burke to Buckley Program at the National Review Institute. Megi has published several works on security-related issues.
