Matthias Dembinski is Senior Researcher at the Leibniz-Institute Peace Research Institute Frankfurt. His research interests include regional integration theory, regional security institutions and European security. His research has been published in e.g. the European Journal of International Relations, Global Governance, International Interaction and Security Studies. He is currently serving as co-project leader of a third party-funded research project on “How does the Past Matter? The War against Ukraine and the Cold War”.
